Frequently Asked Questions

  • Why should i use TheftSpy compared to other Spy/AntiTheft Software?
  • Because we are the best and cheapest. Compared to other Anti-Theft-Software-Providers we dont have expensive prices. We dont live from the money earned by TheftSpy and the goal was always to make a software which fits everyones need.
  • Does the Software work on my old Smartphone?
  • This Software will run either on phones using Android 2.2+ or on all Android 2.2+ tablets.
  • Is it hard to install this software?
  • This Software is installed within minutes. Just download the installationfile (TheftSpy.apk) to your device and open it using the androids-installer. In case that the security-modul of android blocks your installation you need to enable unknown sources in settings->security.
  • Does TheftSpy survive a factory-reset?
  • Yes and no. If you flash the Software with the flashable version (warning, your device must be rooted) then the software will survive every software reset as long as you dont flash a new rom.
  • Does TheftSpy offer SMS-Commands?
  • Yes. Please contact me directly to get a list of available sms-commands.
  • Can I have more then 1 device in one account?
  • Yes. You need a license for each device you want to use but you can control all of them in one single account.
  • I want to buy more licenses. Is there a special offer?
  • Yes. Just contact me via Contact or send me an email to license (at) theftspy.com with the amount you want to have. I'll calculate a very good special price.
  • I need a function in TheftSpy which is not offered yet. Can you code this into the next version?
  • If you found a feature which is not already built in TheftSpy i'll code this for you as long as it's a global used feature. Global means that it can be used by different users because its a famous app. If not, then i offer very low coding-prices. Contact me for that.
  • Is root required for using TheftSpy?
  • No. Root is not required. Some Feature requires root-permission. This is currently the Remoteshell, Rootsettings, Email, Facebook, Screenshot and Powersettings.
